Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian's father-in-law has spoken out to dismiss reports he's "gravely ill" in hospital, insisting he was simply suffering a stomach virus.
Kardashian's basketball star husband, Lamar Odom, skipped his game with the Dallas Mavericks against his old team the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday (22Feb12) to tend to a "family matter", and editors at RadarOnline.com claimed the sportsman's dad Joe was the cause for Odom's no-show.
A source said, "Lamar's dad is gravely ill, and he wanted time off to be with him."
But Joe Odom, a former heroin addict, has denied he's on his death bed – although he was briefly hospitalised for a stomach condition.
In a video posted on Tmz.com, he says, "(Wednesday) night (Lamar) stayed with me all night… just kickin' it and whatnot… but everything is good now. I feel a lot better."
