Kim Kardashian is donating the money
from her wedding gifts to charity after her
marriage of just 72 days broke down.
The reality TV star wed sports ace Kris
Humphries in a highly-publicized ceremony
in August, but she filed for divorce just
weeks later.
She has now announced all her wedding
presents will be put to good use, raising
money for the Dream Foundation which
helps the families of patients battling
terminal illness.
In a hand-signed note to guests, obtained
by TMZ.com, Kardashian writes, "I would like
to thank you for your generous and
thoughtful wedding gift. It has taken me
some time to pull everything together but I
wanted to let you know that the money for
every gift received by me at my wedding
has been donated to the Dream Foundation,
an organization that I am very passionate
about."
A statement from the charity adds, "Kim
Kardashian has made a donation to the
Dream Foundation in honor of your
generous wedding gift. Kim felt this was the
most fitting way to acknowledge and pay
forward your gift with the same
compassion and kindness it was intended."
