We all know that every single Kardashian-related move is cooked up in an evil science lab in the bowels of a McMansion in Calabasas, but still, Kim Kardashian has caused quite a stir today by announcing her intentions to become mayor of Glendale (in a bonus clip for the E! show Khloé & Lamar, natch). Kardashian, who is of Armenian descent, refers to Glendale as "like Armenian town," and says she's looking for a house in the city to establish residency. She says she plans to run in the next five years or so. While the whole thing is pretty ridiculous, what's really ridiculous is that City Councilmember (and former mayor) Ara Najarian has already offered Kim a position as his honorary chief of staff "to help her get acquainted to Glendale," according to E! News (haha, sorry, everyone getting a masters in public administration!). The Glendale News-Press reports that another councilmember, who has clearly never read US Weekly, says "I think she would make an excellent mayor." Kim will only have to live in Glendale for a year before running for office; mayors are selected by the five councilmembers and serve year-long terms.
