Glendale, CA, United States (AHN) – The next political signs and stickers in Glendale, California, just may read: Kim Kardashian for mayor.
Kim shared her political aspirations with her younger sister Khloe during a segment filmed for the Khloe & Lamar reality TV show.
"I decided… I'm gonna run for mayor of Glendale. You have to have full residency in Glendale, so Noelle's going to head my campaign, but it's going to be five years for Glendale. So I have decided to buy a house there. You have to have residency, so Noelle and I are looking into all the requirements. It's an American town. But I need to wait five years," Kim said.
While many are laughing, others dismissing the statement as ridiculous, and several cringing at the mere thought, not everyone finds the idea so crazy.
City councilman Rafi Manoukian told E! News, "I would support her. I think she would make an excellent mayor."
And, he is not alone. City councilman and former mayor Ara Najarian graciously extended an invitation to make the reality star "honorary chief of staff to my office to help her get acquainted to Glendale." He also noted that he thinks Kim's desire to run political office is a "great idea."
Kim recently made headline for her over-the-top and lavish wedding to NBA star Kris Humphries and the subsequent quickie divorce just 72 days later.
