When 3D video games become mainstream, it won't be long before our favorite video game babes start to replace female celebrities as the most desired women on the planet. Sure they aren't real and it's kinda demented but it's also possible that most female celebrities aren't real either.
Excella Gionne, was a member of the Gionne family, which was well known and respected throughout Europe for their successful export-import business. Excella's model-like beauty and aristocratic upbringing made her haughty towards those around her, especially men. Her grandmother was of the Travis family; the founders of Tricell, Inc., which had bestowed Excella with quite a noble and storied lineage. She eventually became CEO of Tricell's African division, and the partner of Albert Wesker, sharing with him a vision for the future of the world. She intended to become the goddess of the new world with Wesker as her god, that is, until she discovered his true motives.
Excella Gionne can be considered a spiritual successor to Alexia Ashford, mainly because of the fact that both of them are the only female antagonists in the Resident Evil series. Both of them wanted to have ultimate power and rule the world. They also confronted the same character, Chris Redfield.
- In the concept art of Resident Evil 5, Excella is shown wearing a pink and black business suit with her hair let down, different from her persona in the final build. Furthermore, the Excella-Uroboros Aheri transformation was to be completely averted: originally, she was going to die at the hands of a Tyrant-esque creature, as evidenced by official artwork.
- Excella's trademark is a syringe which she is often shown holding in the game.
- Her age is listed as a "Trade Secret".
- Her exact nationality is unknown, but she is presumably Italian due to her surname and accent.
- Excella's wardrobe is actually based on haute couture design, for example her dress is made by famous fashion designer Alexander McQueen and her shoes are designed by Malaysian fashion designer Jimmy Choo.
- Originally Excella was planned to be a secretary working for Tricell, but the creators decided to make her the CEO of the company instead.
- She is the only deceased playable character in The Mercenaries Reunion.
- She is the only character in The Mercenaries Reunion whose weapons don't show on her body when unequipped.
- Her dialogue in The Mercenaries Reunion suggests that she is very rude and cold-hearted. For example when thanking her partner she says "Don't expect any thanks" or when her partner is in "DYING" mode, she says "Enough whining", or "I'll be there when I'm ready!"
- The Royal Necklace found in the missile area control room most likely belonged to Excella as she was seen in this room earlier administering the serum to Wesker and has a taste for expensive clothing and jewelery.
