I'll admit it, I'm jealous!
My dream car is a Lamborghini. I've wanted a red Lamborghini ever since I saw one up close and personal one night. It was magical.
Well, now Kanye West has one, courtesy of his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian.
Yesterday was Kanye's 35th birthday. He and Jay Z were in Ireland on their concert tour and apparently, Kim was there too as she tweeted, "Hello Dublin, Ireland!"
Anyway, Kim decided the perfect gift for her boyfriend would be this sick $750,000 car. Nice!
Now, I've been seeing comments around the web this morning how awful this is that Kim spent this kind of money and how selfish they are. I don't agree.
Every time Kim spends money, she's helping the economy. She's helping people who made the goods she's purchasing.
As for those who say she should have given the money to charity, for all we know, Kim could be giving more money than that to charity every year. It's all a matter of perspective. If people gave, on average, 10% of their earnings to charity, for the average person, let's say they should be giving $3,000 a year to charity (based on an income of $30,000). If Kim is making $20,000,000 a year and gives $2,000,000 a year to charity and wants to spend the rest (after taxes) on diamonds and expensive cars and gifts, it's not really any of our business.
I say great for her (and by extension, Kanye)! What I'm waiting to see is if the two are still together when Kim's birthday rolls around in October. What kind of birthday present will she get from him?
