If you’re a you’re born into the Kardashian empire, would you use your spotlight for good or for bad? Kendall and Kylie Jenner chose to use their spotlight for good. The sisterly duo known for being the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan have used fashion to start trends that many girls their age have followed. The current trend they’re sporting is not only a fashion statement, but it’s also helping the world at the same time. They have been seen sporting eco-friendly Luxurious poverty “Bobby Bear” rings. A portion of the proceeds from each ring sold goes to a charity called Keep A Child Alive. The charity is owned by Alicia Keys and concentrates on the seriousness of HIV/AIDS in youth worldwide. Not quite into the bear shaped rings, but still want to help? There’s also heart, peace sign, and skull shaped rings. The rings, though adorable, are a bit of a splurge. Each ring goes for around $150 with %5 going to Keep A Child Alive. If you’re not really a ring gal, Luxurious Poverty also has a trendy yet edgy selection of bracelets and earrings as well. Back in May of this year, the duo was slammed for wearing gun shaped rings. There were endless headlines bashing the two girls for not setting a good example with such a young fan base. The media was proclaiming that with such power to make a difference, the two weren’t sending a very positive message. They have millions of young girls watching their every move, so perhaps the sisters decided to use their trendsetting for good this time. Though it may seem as if the girls move through the fame with ease, they have both expressed their feelings about being in the spotlight through tweets and interviews. “I’m uncomfortable with the paparazzi,” tweets Kylie. “That’s why I always look down at my phone. Didn’t mean to offend anybody. Xoxo.” Kendall retweeted her sister, adding a simple “Amen.”
